Samurai Slash
PlayAbout this game
Age rating: All ages
Tap to the beat and slice whatever flies at you! Black-clad stagehands shout and toss in bamboo, radishes, straw, shuriken and coins, and you cut each one clean in half with a quick-draw slash, right on the beat of the BGM. A Rhythm Heaven-style rhythm game. Straw takes 2 cuts on eighth notes, coins take 3 cuts in a triplet, and bowls must NOT be cut. The BPM climbs from 95 to 150, and the final ULTIMATE section scores ×1.5.
How to play
Controls: Tap anywhere on the screen. On PC, you can also slash with a click, Space or Enter. Tap on the beat when the ring at the cutting spot is smallest. A stagehand's shout means something has just been thrown. Points: PERFECT is 300 points, GOOD is 150. Every 10 combo adds ×0.2 to your multiplier, up to ×3. Miss a cut and your combo breaks. Cutting a bowl costs 300 points and breaks your combo. Cut the straw both times for a 200-point bonus, and the coin all 3 times for an 800-point bonus (the multiplier applies). When the screen darkens and something glows pale blue, it's a Flash target. Cut it with a PERFECT for a 500-point bonus. Right after a swing, you can't slash again until your sword is back in its sheath. Tap before that and you'll Whiff, letting that beat's object fly past. Swinging at nothing takes longer to sheathe, so don't mash. A round is 24 bars (about 48 seconds). When it ends, your score earns you a title. If the sound and your taps feel out of sync, use Timing offset on the title screen.
